Teagle co-sponsored Richard Lander School Greenpower Car Qualifies for Final at Goodwood
The Teagle co-sponsored Richard Lander School Greenpower Project entry has swept the board, securing three major awards in the local competition at RAF St.Mawgan. The team won the I.Mech.E. Best Engineered Car award, the IoM3 Innovative Use of Materials award and the Cool Earth Sustainability award . The Richard Lander School car came 3rd in the actual race, which means that they have qualified for the Goodwood final.
The car was battery powered and was entirely home built using as much naturally occurring material as possible and with help and advice from local businesses. For more information about the team and car visit http://www.richardlanderracing.blogspot.com/
Greenpower promotes engineering as a rewarding career to young people between the ages of 9 and 25, whilst also focusing on sustainability, teamwork and the community. For further information on the Greenpower project, visit http://www.greenpower.co.uk
TULIP RANGE TO BE DISTRIBUTED BY TEAGLE
The well established TULIP products, CENTERLINER Broadcaster, ROTERRA Power Harrow, POLYMAT Pneumatic Drill and MULTIDISC Disc Harrow, have been added to the Teagle range of machinery. The Tulip range, manufactured by Peeters Agricultural Machinery in the Netherlands, will be sold by Teagle in England, Wales and Southern Scotland.
The Centerliner has a long history in the UK market place and is renowned for it’s simplicity and performance. The fully overlapping spread pattern combined with the twin rotor mechanism ensures that each piece of ground receives four deliveries of fertiliser. Bout widths can be set between 6 m. and 36 m. Capacities are from 3 bags to 5 bags.
The Roterra Power Harrow is equally well established and renowned in the market place. The Roterra comes in working widths of 3 - 6 metres encompassing 9 different models having power requirements of 50 - 275 HP. There is the usual range of options including packer rolls, levelling boards and mechanical or hydraulic linkage systems for mounting drills onto the rear.
The Polymat pneumatic drill is available in 3 m. and 4 m. working widths and is an ideal partner to the Roterra.
The Multidisc is also an established product and comes in working widths of 2 - 6 metres comprising 8 different widths in 2 model ranges. Tractor requirements are 60 - 230 HP and there is a choice of crumbler or packer rolls.
Teagle will hold essential parts for the Tulip range of products, many of which will also fit the same machines sold in earlier days under the Lely livery.
Hammer Mill – New Rotor Launched
Following 18 months of development, in partnership with Polish straw briquetting machine manufacturer, Asket, Teagle are pleased to be able to offer an improved Mill system fitted to the Tomahawk range of machines.
The cutting rotor features knives, instead of hammers, which increases the machine throughput by around 30%. This not only provides benefits in agricultural applications, but is essential in the industrial applications in which the recently launched electric drive straw mill is operating up to 24 hours / day..
Hammer Mill - New Electric Motor Drive System
An electric motor drive system has been developed in Poland by Asket to power Tomahawk Hammer Mills used to shred straw for briquetting or other commercial applications.
The electric motor system is designed to run continuously in an industrial environment, producing straw chopped as short as 15 mm. The drum is driven by a variable speed electric motor such that it’s speed is inversely proportional to the power consumption of the main rotor drive motor. This control system results in an even output of straw together with incredibly smooth operation. 18 or 30 kW main drive motors are available.
Machines are available via Asket in Poland or through Teagle in other countries.
245 Finishing Mower
The increasing demand for large finishing mowers has led to the development of a new 8 ft. cut, 5 rotor machine, the Dynamo 245, at the top end of the range.
The Dynamo 245 is ideal for parks, golf courses, playing fields and large leisure areas in general. The individual enclosures around each of the rotors ensures an even spread of cut material to give a fine professional finish. Optional mulching kits are available to further enhance the end result.
