APPRENTICESHIP - Draughtsperson
Job Description
As an Engineering Technician (Level 4) Apprentice you will work alongside our Manufacturing Engineer, Draughtsperson and the Development Team. During your Apprenticeship you will gain knowledge in:
- Drawing changes
- Office Administration
- Production of Engineering Standard Drawings for both prototypes and products going into production.
- Design of manufacturing jig and fixtures.
- Quality processes and techniques.
- Sheet Metal
- Machining techniques
- Fabrication and Welding
- Surface Coating processes
Requirements
- Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths or Functional Skills Level 2
- Recognised industry experience (or Level 3 experience)
- Basic understanding of Solid Works or other 3D CAD package
- Practically minded and ‘hands-on’
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Good work ethic, motivated with a willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and time management skills
Job Summary
- Starting salary: £7.51 per hour in first year
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Four days on site: 08.00 – 16.15
- One day at College: 09.00 – 16.00
