Titan 10 & 12

Delivering an outstanding spread pattern

Durability and Ease of Use as standard

Titan 10 & 12

Muck Spreaders

The TITAN range is well proportioned, ensuring excellent stability, manoeuvrability, visibility of the load, and superior ground clearance.

Large Capacity
At the top end of the Titan range are the 10 and 12 cubic metre models. Extend capacity easily with steel greedy boards.

Fine Shredding
Large diameter beaters generate a high tip speed to ensure a fine shredding action is achieved. A stepless auger with a shallow pitch ensures that material is well mixed and shredded before it is thrown from the machine

Even Coverage
Whether spreading fresh, well rotted or semi-solid farmyard manure, poultry litter, compost or waste products, TITANs deliver an even, fine and wide spread pattern.

High Work Rates
Tall beaters deliver massive output for high work rates.

Quality Finish
Prior to finishing with a 2 pack paint system, all components are shot blasted to ensure that they are clean and provide the best possible keying surface for the paint. All seams are continuously welded or sealed to protect against corrosion.

Muck is Money - Don't throw it away!

When correctly applied, manure has a number of beneficial effects on soil properties, promoting higher yield and higher quality of crops.

•         Increased soil fertility

•         Provide a natural source of available nitrogen

•         Add humus and slow releasing nutrients to the soil

•         Aid water and nutrient retention

•         Help break down heavy soils

•         Add structure to light and sandy soils

•         Attract worms to the soil

Shred and Evenly Spread
Evenly spreading manure offers the following advantages:

Prevent clumps of manure from smothering grass that creates bare spots in the pasture.

Promote dense grass growth and reduce invasive weeds.

Exposes more manure surface to sunlight, which quickly dries it out to reduce nutrient loss, parasites and fly reproduction.

Allow manure to decompose far more quickly, reducing the amount of time required before livestock may safely graze on the land again.

How do we do it?
Large diameter beaters  - deliver a greater tip speed  for a wide and fine spread pattern.

Shallow auger pitch - Retains muck for longer in the beater system to ensure that material is not thrown from the back of the machine before it has been effectively shredded.

A continuous, stepless auger - Vertical surfaces on the auger are eliminated to prevent lumps of material being thrown from the machine before they have been shredded.

Greater tip overlap - Maximises live working area between beaters.

    Beater Tip Overlap

The shredding tips on the Titan have a large overlap. This reduced the chance of a lump of muck passing through the beaters without being shredded.

Reversible hardened tips offer extended service intervals.
Swinging flails highly tolerant to foreign objects
Splash boards keep the sides of the spreader clean
Continuous augers are welded to large diameter heavy gauge tubes.

    High Rotor Tip Speed

The largest diameters beaters in their class generate a tip speed of around 20m per second. Even muck with a high straw content is finely shredded to deliver even ground coverage.

To reduce the likelihood of contamination of the hydraulic system, hoses are easily stowed.

    Rear Splash Boards

    Rear Splash Boards

Baler twine and other debris in manure can get wrapped around the beaters which results in material being flicked down the side of the machine. Our splash boards are fitted to both sides of the machine and are found on all models in the range.

    Slats and U-Bolts

Full width slats ensure that material does not bridge in the middle. Slats are secured to the chain with U-Bolts to enable straightforward maintenance.

The robust slurry gate has been designed to ensure that the sliding components provide a long and trouble free service life. For safety on the road, shields automatically cover the light units when the slurry gate is opened for spreading.

    Stepless Shallow Pitch Augers

    Stepless Shallow Pitch Augers

Vertical surfaces on the auger are eliminated to prevent lumps of material being thrown from the machine before they have been shredded. The Titan beater augers have a shallow pitch resulting in material being held and mixed in the rotor area for longer before being discharged.

    Swinging Flails

    Swinging Flails

The Titan swinging flail system offers two advantages over a fixed paddle system:
    1. Driveline Protection - Shock loads created by foreign objects in manure can cause damage to the drive line. The swinging flails break back, absorbing much of this shock.
    2. Damage to the lower beater paddles themselves is reduced.

"I like the simplicity of the 2 chain slat design as there is less to go wrong."

Titan Rear Discharge Muckspreader

Adrian Steele runs Chapel Farm, a 440 ha (1,090 acre) organic unit near Pershore in Worcestershire. Environmental stewardship is core to the management of the farm, which since 1985 has run both Organic Entry and Higher level Stewardship schemes.

Correct maintenance of the nutrients in the farm’s clover leys is essential, and is achieved largely through the straw that is grown being sold for growing mushrooms. Once the mushrooms have been cropped, the substrate is returned to the farm and mixed with farmyard manure. It is at this point that the Titan 10 Spreader enters the story.

Simple maintenance

Adrian considered various makes of muck spreader and selected the Titan “based on it’s weight, robustness and ease of maintenance, and because the machine is manufactured in Cornwall, the proximity of support was also an advantage – should a problem occur, speed of response is paramount”.

Adrian “was also impressed by the cutting and shredding action of the beaters, as well as the consistent ground cover behind the spreader.” Dan Martin the driver says “I like the simplicity of the 2 chain slat design as there is less to go wrong. For spreading compost we fitted the additional kit of compost paddles, which also work well in standard Farmyard Manure.”

Dan Martin, Driver - Pershore, Worcestershire
